NeoSpire Manged Hosting Earns an Exception‐Free Sas‐70 Type Ii Certification
NeoSpire, Inc., a provider of mission critical managed hosting; today announced it has again received an exception‐free Statement on Auditing Standards No. 70 (SAS‐70) Type II certification, performed by independent auditors BKD, LLP, one of the 10 largest CPA and advisory firms in the U.S.
The SAS‐70 Type II certification is an internationally recognized auditing standard developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. An exception‐free SAS‐70 Type II Certification report is well‐known by organizations in the United States and Europe as a reliable indicator that a service provider has implemented an effective control environment. The report is also acknowledged as a critical component for companies due to the Sarbanes –Oxley Act of 2002.
Under Section 404 of Sarbanes‐Oxley Act (SOX), most companies require a SAS‐70 Type II certification report from their service providers to evaluate controls, data centers, security, backup and system availability. NeoSpire’s SAS‐70 Type II certification permits the company to deliver confirmation of the controls required for compliance with the Sarbanes‐ Oxley Act.
