HostV Triples VPS Bandwidth and Upgrades Dedicated Server Specs
HostV, announced a major shakeup in its hosting lineup, including a tripling of bandwidth on all VPS Hosting plans and major upgrades on specifications for Dedicated Servers.
The company’s Managed VPS Servers and Linux VPS Servers now start at 1500GB of monthly bandwidth, up from just 500GB before. Hybrid VPS plans, which combine the power of dedicated severs with the agility of virtual servers, start at a whopping 7500GB of monthly bandwidth, up from only 2500GB. HostV’s new bandwidth allotments are among the industry’s most generous.
“We’re expanding the scale and scope of our hosting packages in a way that distinguishes HostV and reinforces our role as leader in the VPS and dedicated hosting space. New Dedicated Servers from HostV now include double RAM – starting at an unprecedented 8GB of RAM (up from 4GB). New Dedicated Servers now also boast double disk space, starting at 2 500GB SATA drives.

Earlier this year, HostV introduced Ksplice Uptrack, allowing it to update Linux servers without rebooting. Linux kernel updates are automatically converted into rebootless update packages, and HostV can simply apply the update remotely without causing a disruption or significant performance hit on the server.
