HostV Eliminates Bandwidth Caps on All Virtual Private Servers and Dedicated Servers

Submitted by on July 13, 2010 – 3:35 pmNo Comment

HostV, a leader in managed Virtual Private Servers and Dedicated servers, announced today it has dropped bandwidth limits on its entire line of hosting services, including Virtual Private Servers, Hybrid Servers, and Dedicated Servers, which already feature premium bandwidth and a wide-variety of value-added features.

The move reinforces HostV’s position as a market leader. It is one of the first quality-class Web hosting providers to drop bandwidth limits, which allows the company to attract larger clients who host more bandwidth-intensive websites. It also opens HostV to compete more fiercely in emerging areas, including multimedia hosting. Although HostV has innovated in those areas, it has not been able to beat low-quality hosting providers on price alone.

“HostV’s gift to the hosting consumer is innovation,” said John Xie, president of Cirtex Corp., HostV parent company. “We’ve said it before, but we are constantly looking to upgrade and enhance our line of services to make our solutions more attractive and competitive. By eliminating bandwidth caps, we are putting an even greater emphasis on our tremendous reputation as a leader in customer service and performance. We’re shattering expectations yet again.”

Unlike low-quality Web hosting providers, HostV will offer its unmetered bandwidth hosting solutions with top-tier, high-throughput IP transit. All Virtual Private Servers will be hosted on shared 100mbps ports and can consistently use at least 10mbps of throughput without slowdowns.

Unmanaged Linux Virtual Private Servers now start at just $19.99 per month, which includes 512MB of RAM (recently doubled from 256MB), 50GB of RAID-10 protected storage, an additional 50GB ServerSnapShot™ backup, unmetered bandwidth, and a choice of five pre-installed Linux distributions. Managed Virtual Private Servers start at just $29.99 per month for a similar array of features, as well as a free cPanel license (valued at more than $400 a year).

In May, HostV added a new, unprecedented three year billing cycle option for all of its Virtual Private Servers and Hybrid servers. The prepaid 36-month billing cycle enables customers to lock-in tremendous savings, including with unmetered bandwidth.
