Peak 10 Begins Construction on Third Louisville Data Center

Peak 10 Inc., a managed services company with world-class data centers, announced today that construction has begun on a third enterprise-class facility to enhance its Louisville, Ky. campus. The 11,500 square-foot addition will bring Peak 10 Louisville’s total footprint to nearly 25,000 square feet and will be the company’s 20th data center facility within its 10 U.S. markets.

“Our team is proud of the success and reputation Peak 10 has established in the Greater Louisville area. Our consistent growth has resulted from a team that has a priority to deliver exceptional data center and IT solutions. Our philosophy of being responsive and collaborating with our local Louisville market continues to drive our effort of establishing Peak 10 as an essential part of the region’s technology infrastructure,” said Matt Phillips, the vice president and general manager of Peak 10 Louisville. “The Peak 10 Louisville 3 data center will ensure that Peak 10 has the capacity to continue to support the region’s growing technology needs, especially the area’s logistics, manufacturing and healthcare verticals. Since 2004 we have continued to invest in the Louisville market in support of this economy’s growth.”

Mayor Greg Fischer, members of the Peak 10 executive team, regional government representatives and leaders from Greater Louisville Inc., the metro chamber of commerce, participated in today’s groundbreaking event at Peak 10 to tout the new investment and the new jobs the company will bring to Louisville.

“An expansion of this size demonstrates Peak 10’s commitment to Louisville, and to providing world-class technology services to our local companies,” said Mayor Greg Fischer. “Many of Peak 10’s consumers represent our niche industries – healthcare, logistics and manufacturing – and having a local presence for technology needs is invaluable.”

“We are excited that Peak 10 has chosen to make this investment in Louisville,” said Joe Reagan, the president and CEO of Greater Louisville Inc. “Vibrant markets attract vibrant companies like Peak 10 to expand. Today’s announcement is an encouraging sign of Louisville’s economic recovery and position for future growth.”

Many of Peak 10’s top technology executives, including Jeff Biggs, the company’s chief technology officer, are based in Louisville. The Peak 10 Louisville location houses the company’s largest concentration of corporate and technology staff outside of its headquarters in Charlotte, N.C. Louisville also serves as one of the host sites for the company’s Cloud Plus infrastructure. The new facility will provide Peak 10 customers with additional room for development and will help them meet regulatory compliance requirements and lower costs by maximizing internal IT resources and ensuring the security and availability of their complex technology infrastructure. Peak 10’s third Louisville data center will be located contiguous to its other two facilities, convenient for customers with a presence in multiple data centers. The new facility is projected to be completed later this year.

“We continue to enhance our footprint and service delivery capabilities in existing markets, such as Louisville, to meet high customer demand,” said David Jones, the president and CEO of Peak 10. “Additionally, with our new relationship with Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe, as well as our recent $155 million credit facility, our company is poised for even more organic growth this year.”

As part of its expansion strategy, Peak 10 recently announced the completion of its second enterprise-class data center facility in Richmond, Va.
