Amazon has bought a 240,000 sq ft former Tesco warehouse in Greenhills Industrial Estate, Dublin to set up a new datacenter .
According to web reports, Amazon will use the site to house the European arm of its EC2 cloud computing services.
Amazon Web Servicesalready opened a facility in Dublin in December 2008 to house the European availablity zones for its EC2 cloud computing services.
The transaction is reported to be biggest warehouse sale in Ireland in the last 12 months.
