Voxel, a leading provider of hybrid cloud hosting and managed services, announced today that it has appointed Stephen Callahan, a respected industry sales executive, as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Steve brings more than 18 years of high tech sales experience to Voxel, having significantly accelerated the revenue growth of several startup, pre-IPO and public companies. As part of the growth plan put in place with the Company’s recent capital raise, Steve is tasked to build a global sales team to meet the demand for Voxel’s services in the fast-growing cloud and managed application hosting marketplace.

Steve has been a highly successful executive and sales leader in technology and service companies for more than 18 years. In prior positions he was the Vice President, Direct Sales, for Broadview Networks, where he managed a direct sales force of 50 contributors selling technology solutions to the SME marketplace. Prior to his role at Broadview and its related companies, Steve was responsible for major and global accounts at MCI Worldcom. Most recently, as SVP of Sales at Intergis, a SaaS-based provider of mobile fleet solutions to large businesses, Steve successfully led the company to its best sales year ever and saw through its acquisition by Telogis.

Effective immediately, Steve will assume leadership of Voxel’s sales organization and channel programs. Sam Machiz, Voxel’s lead technologist and a hosting industry veteran, will focus on implementation engineering as VP of Sales Engineering. In this new role, formed to ensure that Voxel’s sophisticated sales approach can scale with an expanded sales force, Sam will help customers and partners maximize on the opportunity of adopting Voxel Infrastructure services within their organizations while breaking through the hype around cloud.
