Networking4all brings its services to life this month and thereby it would create more awareness in society. On the basis of virtual experiences on social media platforms characters should give the consumer food for thoughts.
The annually studies Networking4all, provider of SSL Certificates, domain names and hosting, perform are mainly focused on providers. With this ‘awareness campaign’ it wants to make consumers awake. A leading role is taken by Donny Domain, Simon Certified, Harry Hosting and Reggy Reseller. On social media platforms, especially Facebook, they will experience virtual stories where handling with personal data on the Internet securely will be the main topic.
“In recent years the results of our studies forced companies to face the facts. We will continue to examine whether this has improved. Consumers are careless with their personal data on the Internet as well. On the basis of these characters and a movie we want to provide more awareness”, says Paul van Brouwershaven, CTO of Networking4all. A video shows how the visitor will make a journey through a secure connection to a web site by entering the domain name, while making attention to the dangers that lurk.
The four main characters symbolize the logo of Networking4all. They represent the Networking4all services. Besides the four main characters, there is also a role for Jack Hack, Phishing Phil, Sally Social and Did-it-dumb Dylan on Facebook. A special page is created for all characters in which their experiences are presented. Van Brouwershaven: “Internet users can thereby experience the possibilities and dangers in a playful way.”
