UK web hosting provider Heart Internet (http://www.heartinternet.co.uk) has joined forces with software publisher Serif to offer its new website building package, WebPlus X6, completely free.
Heart Internet is the first web host to include WebPlus X6, and will be available to its web hosting and reseller hosting customers at no additional cost.
Retailing at £80, Serif WebPlus X6 comes with features to help website owners take advantage of new trends like mobile and social media, including mobile site builder tools that enable sites to look better on tablets and handheld devices. It also includes a new social media integration feature that allows for greater interaction with Facebook and Twitter, and all-new content which helps users create professional sites without the need for any coding skills.
WebPlus X6 enables small businesses and home users get online without the expense of hiring a web designer. Research has revealed that 74 per cent of small businesses in the UK believed they did not have the skills or time to attempt building their own website. Yet 85 per cent of the survey described themselves as “power users” who were able to regularly mix text and graphics (1).
“WebPlus X6 is designed so that someone with basic computer skills can create unique and dynamic sites,” said Ellie Robinson, Head of Business Development EMEA, at Serif. “Drag-and-drop designing makes it easy to add text, images, and videos so users can create an entire website in minutes without using any code.”
The announcement is a continuation of the partnership between the two companies, with WebPlus X5 having previously been offered for free for Heart Internet’s web and reseller hosting customers. Additionally, Heart Internet has announced that existing customers, as well as new, will be able to use the upgraded software.
“We are delighted to continue our partnership with Serif and pass on this fantastic, cutting edge product to our customers,” said Heart Internet director Jonathan Brealey. “This product is amongst the best on the market and will help people to make unique and exciting websites.”
