Netwise Hosting has announced radical new plans to reposition its entire range of dedicated server offerings in 2013.
This will be the company’s first major departure from its existing hardware configurations, which have now been in production for almost 3 years (though with various internal revisions).
Netwise Hosting will not only be dramatically boosting the performance of all servers in its range – it will also be dropping prices, fully leveraging long standing channel partnerships to deliver the UK’s lowest-cost quad and hexacore servers.
RAM options will now start from 16GB, ranging up to 64GB in the highest end units. SSD’s will also be making an appearance, alongside 1Gbps connections across the entire estate. Netwise are also introducing a Storage server to the mix, aimed at users of big data, with a large SATA array.
The most powerful of these new servers is expected to retail at £199 per month, and contain dual hexacore processors, 64GB DDR3 RAM, and various SDD / SATA configurations. Pricing on big data servers with 12 drive arrays are yet to be confirmed.
Management at Netwise have also hinted at the possibility of including configurable options on RAM, which will allow their new servers to be provisioned with up to 128GB.
Up until this launch, Netwise Hosting will be heavily reducing the prices of all existing hardware. Entry, Mid-Range, High-End, and Ultimate dedicated servers are now £39, £59, £79, and £99 per month respectively. The firm’s Data Centre Outlet has also seen sizable price reductions, with servers now costing no more than £69 per month.
Netwise Hosting are expecting to sell the first of these new high-specification units in Q1 2013.
