iSheriff Announces Cloud-Based Email & Web Security Services
Internet cloud security vendor iSheriff Ltd, today announced a major new partnership which will see the company rollout email and Web security services across Latin America. The deal with Peruvian enterprise, Grupo Romero, will enable the company to offer hosted email filtering, anti-spam and Web 2.0 security services directly to its broadband clients.
“This is an exciting and hard won deal for us,” said iSheriff CEO, Oscar Marquez. “Grupo Romero is one of the largest and most professional corporations in Peru. They had been seeking a technology partner for some time that would enable Grupo Romero to offer fast and effective email and Web security services to their customers. We had to beat major competitors including Websense to win this partnership,” added Marquez.
Grupo Romero, which runs a major ISP in Peru called Sitel, had been seeking a technology platform which would enable them to provide unified and scalable email and Web security services to their tens of thousands of customers. The key requirement for the company was to be able to deliver a full range of managed Internet security services with one solution – a significant challenge which only a handful of leading Internet security vendors could accommodate.
“We sought a cloud-based security platform which could provide our clients with a broad range of security services spanning email and Web-based threats. We looked at market leaders such as Websense and others but in the end only iSheriff could properly meet our requirements,” said Carlos Andres Lopez Suarez, CEO of Sitel.
