ViaWest will use HP 3PAR Utility Storage to remain competitive in the booming cloud services market.
The managed Web hosting provider, with 22 data centers under operation, will introduce its KINECTed Storage service to help customers improve their data center operations, strategies and costs, with HP’s solution as the backbone.
The cloud-based storage and computing services offered are made possible with HP ProLiant DL360 G7 servers working on a single platform that enables ViaWest to efficiently manage its own data center while providing secure, real-time data management capabilities without interrupting its clients’ daily workflows.
Jim Thompson, VP of Product Management at ViaWest discusses the business case: “At a time when exponential data growth is placing unrealistic demands on our clients’ legacy systems, tighter IT budgets have prevented companies from investing in the latest storage solution functionalities. The functionality and scalability of HP 3PAR systems has helped ViaWest to meet the needs of those clients and deliver reliable, flexible and affordable cloud storage services.”
