EU Based Cloud Hosting Provider Announces Domain Promotion On 12 European TLDs

The provider of Cloud Hosting (http://www.cloud.bg/en) services Cloud.bg kicked of a promotional campaign on 12 different national top-level domain names of European countries. From February 10th until March 31st 2010 web host offers anyone who chooses Cloud.bg to move to the clouds to register or extend the registration of their .co.uk, .de, .fr, .es, .it, .at, .be, .nl, .dk, .li, .ch, .me and .eu domain names for free. The registration process is fully automated for all domains. The only requirements that the cloud customers have to comply with are those of the national registries which operate the domain extensions.

Cloud.bg, is one of the very few European Cloud Hosting providers and probably the first one on the market, that enables website owners to use the world’s most popular hosting automation control panel cPanel/WHM on the cloud.

The new cloud service features 100 GB of SAN space, 1,000 GB premium bandwidth per month and allows anyone to host up to different 100 websites on account. It is priced as low as €20 per month. The company uses .bg web address, a TLD which refers to Bulgaria, one of the newest EU members and a country with a rapidly growing IT industry.

“We are glad to announce matured, stable and very affordable cloud hosting service that works good for everyone in Europe”, said Dimitar Avramov, the founder of the company. He added that the average round-trip delay (RTT) time for European home users who ping Cloud.bg ranges from 1.5 ms to 60 ms.

Pinged from London Cloud.bg is reachable for 47 ms or less, from Ljubljana, Slovenia – 35 ms, from Paris – 71 ms or less, from Madrid – 77, from Berlin – 47 ms, from Sofia, Bulgaria – 1.5 ms. The average RTT for Israel is 97 ms. The cloud is located in facility owned and operated by Interoute, one of the premier European providers of data center solutions.

“Some of our partners have found a quite strange our decision to use the Bulgaria’s national TLD to offer cloud hosting on the European market”, said Dimitar Avramov, founder and a CEO of the company. “Initially we planned to use Cloud.bg to deliver cloud hosting only to the Bulgarian users. However shortly before the official launch of the new enterprise, we looked at what we achieved, analyzed the results of 45 day testing period of Cloud.bg and decided to expand the market scope of the service”, explains Mr. Avramov. His company FColor.bg is the longest running web host in Bulgaria and the country’s premium VPS hosting provider.

He has added that the executive team of Cloud.bg realizes that offering a free Domain registration to web hosting customers is not news. “However it is news when a new standards based service like Clould.bg, the first to bring cPanel/WHM on the cloud, provides a complimentary domain registration in 12 different national TLDs”, says also the CEO of the new cloud host.

The company’s cloud hosting service is based on Fuscan LBC, a Linux Cloud PaaS produced by the U.S. software automation producer Single OS LLC.
