IPHost Network Monitor New Distributed Network and Server Monitoring System
IPHostMonitor Inc. announces the release of IPHost Network Monitor 3.0, a robust distributed network monitoring system that monitors the performance and availability of Windows and Unix/Linux servers and workstations, various applications, services and Web resources. The new release adds Remote Network Agents, a feature allowing administrators to simultaneously monitor servers and workstations on multiple remote local area networks.
Installed on a single server or a workstation connected to a local area network, Remote Network Agents can automatically discover and monitor all types of supported resources on that network, reporting back to the main IPHost Network Monitor installation via an SSL secured connection. For increased security, IPHost Network Monitor supports active and passive monitoring agents, allowing administrators to choose which ports and where will be opened.
Remote Network Agents is a vital part of the monitoring solution for companies with several networks to monitor and for Managed Service Providers (MSPs) that need to monitor their customers’ networks and servers. IPHost Network Monitor provides an out of the box solution for MSP to monitor dozens or even hundreds of customer networks from a single central site. IP services, Unix/Linux and Windows server infrastructure, firewalls, routers and LANs can be monitored from a single monitoring point.
